This is a preview of the Ubuntu Touch distribution running on a Nexus mobile phone. This Linux distribution offers a mobile operating system that has a lovely theme and integration with all of the functions of your mobile device. Ubuntu will be a universal desktop operating system if it can be installed on mobile devices as well as on your desktop. The mobile operating system market that is dominated by iOS, Android and Symbian is now facing a competitor that will bring a true Linux operating system to the market. Android has a very large app store, this allows users to install just about any functionality the user will ever require. There are a few apps here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-phone-coreapps. These apps will be available on the Ubuntu Touch OS for mobile. Hopefully there will be many more apps once this mobile operating system takes off.
