This is a Windows 10 computer with a virus infestation, this person was asking if this was a serious problem or not. I mean really? Of course it is. As long as I had Windows 10 installed, I shouldn’t have had anything at all to worry about. The problem is that I was getting messages and information from Windows 10, telling my computer that he was installing this virus. It is very scary, that it’s telling me everything. This was the only virus I had in my computer, not even Windows XP. When Windows goes to search for malicious files, it will give this sort of message saying the same thing: “A virus has detected your application installed. Please download and install a program that can deal with this virus.” I checked the software name, it was Microsoft Word. I looked it up and I didn’t see anything suspicious. So the infection rate, again, is very high. The first email I got from Windows, before the infection started, said I had a very high infection rate with Word. It’s like they are not only telling you they have a virus, but they are telling you the size of the virus. When we run Word on this computer (which seems to have an infected user) I get this error message: Windows 10, Microsoft Version 14393/16071, installed. Please install this update to update all supported versions of this product.
But Windows 10 has very dubious practices in regards to updates and security. Sending unknown data to Microsoft from your PC. This should not be allowed, there is no way to block this unless the user has custom firmware on their router and can block the data stream that way. The operating system itself can override many things and fixing it within Windows 10 does not work. What is most disappointing about the fact that the device is running Windows 10 (and I would assume most people reading here still do), is that Microsoft seems to be trying to be more aggressive with how it manages devices, and by using devices as a source of malicious scripts and spyware. I would bet money that most people who run Windows 10 will know that it will sometimes make certain settings inaccessible if you have modified them improperly. For example, some people have been able to turn off the display backlight (or whatever it is) for a long time, only to have it turned back on again under certain conditions, like by using a specific feature like the “Screen Lock” feature. This gives me hope that things may be getting better, and is why I suggest using the PC of a friend or a stranger for some time, and getting them to use your computer to do something in exchange for helping you. Your PC is more secure, it will not be compromised by malware, and you will not be tracked on it. And you will not lose access to any personal sensitive information like your IMs, messages or your phone numbers. And you’ll see progress.
You should have a PC of your own. Do not feel compelled to use Windows at all, as it is much easier to use a Linux box then one of the big OSes, and can be much less prone to security holes. And it will get your house and your life going with free services.
