Adding the Gnome 2 MATE fork() to Ubuntu.

I asked on Facebook how to do this and I was given this solution.


deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ lisa main upstream import
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linuxmint-keyring
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mint-meta-mate

This will install the MATE packages and allow you to remove the abominable Unity desktop.
