How to stop the annoying domain lookup on a Cisco switch.

This is a very annoying feature on a Cisco switch…

Translating "en\"...domain server (255.255.255.255)

But, this is how to turn this behavior off. Run this command in privileged exec mode.

arya(config)#no ip domain-lookup

And this behavior will no longer occur.

arya#help2
Translating "help2"
% Unknown command or computer name, or unable to find computer address

This will be a great saviour of your sanity when you do a typo, this will not happen. But if it does, just press Ctrl-Shift-6.
