Apple iPhone 3gs insides. Have you ever wondered what the parts look like? Now can see.

This is what the insides of an Apple iPhone 3gs look like. This is the motherboard of the iPhone. You can see the Subscriber Identity Module card slot on the right-hand end of the motherboard. Sure, the iPhone 3gs is an older model, but it is interesting to see the insides of this mobile telephone and check out what the parts look like. I would think that Apple iOS devices would be all the rage these days, but the iPhone is all you hear about these days, the olden days of telecommunication were dominated by those telephone booths that everyone would use, and you sometimes would be waiting in line to use one. They are still around, but thankfully we have mobile telecommunication devices that free us up from wires unless you are charging your mobile telephone. The back surface of the iPhone and the new Android phones like the Galaxy S3 is large enough that they could embed a solar panel in the surface and you could leave your mobile telephone on the window sill in the sun and it would be recharged that way. Surely that would work?

This mobile telephone has a large company behind it that has dominated the computing industry for a while until the Macintosh malware scandal took the sheen off their formerly invulnerable products. But any device or OS can be targeted by malicious software, it depends on the skill of the programmer that is working on the malicious software in question. In the first photograph in this posting, you can see the battery attached to the motherboard, this is a Lithium-Ion battery that supplies 3.7 volts to the device. Of course, this is assembled in China, the manufacture of this battery must create quite a lot of pollution and this is why China`s environment is being destroyed to feed our desire for more and more shiny devices. But it is interesting to see the insides of this mobile telephone. The last photograph shows the iPhone camera, this is what it looks like when the shiny case is gone and the bare organs are shown to the world. I have to admit I prefer to use my Blackberry over an Apple device, the Blackberry 9700 is a very nice telephone with a good selection of Apps.

There is another good iPhone teardown here: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPhone-3GS-Teardown/817/1[ifixit.com]. This has some lovely photographs of the iPhone guts. The photo I have added to the right is a photograph reputedly showing the insides of the new iPhone 5. This is not confirmed, but we will soon find out if this is the real deal or not. Click the image to visit the blog posting concerning the iPhone 5. The only problem with Apple as a corporation is the fact that their labor practices are not always the best when it comes to treating their workers fairly. More information here: http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/04/24/470158/apple-workers-rights-credibility/?mobile=nc. The contempt that Apple holds for its workers is shocking, they only care about selling these devices and not the workers that build them. That is the problem with a large corporation like Apple that can employ workers in poorer countries and exploit them to create the next best mobile devices and having big launch parties and not stopping worker deaths due to aluminum explosions. As the posting says, if we keep this in the news, then Apple must do something.
